Cars of 2017!

And here we are again, with a short selection of the wonderful cars I had the honour to adorn last year! More to come.

Some like it simple!

(This is a sneak peek of a car that deserves its own post!)

Stolen! Now you know...

Just for the record:
In 2008 I put some pinstripe flames and emblems on a customer's HD tank, and proudly published pix on my website. Coupla months later, I see Harleys with my design on them all over the place. Now while I am kinda proud to have created such a popular design, I am a bit miffed that nobody even asked for permission to use it for their crummy little sticker shops.
Oh well. After this post, some guys can now brag about having a real TOM design on their $15k HD, for a fraction of the price of an original! So thrifty!

The original:

And the fake, in one of its many crappy incarnations:
(There are many others on Ebay and whatnot that are more exact, I just picked this cuz it even made it into the news!)

My Liberated Gold Wing!

After scanning the ads for years, finally THE ONE popped up: Vetter Liberator for sale in Germany! The biggest, widest, craziest fairing ever built. Elvis had one! Bought it - restored it - painted it - slapped it on my beloved Goldie. How it drives? Very good, actually. Stable up to 160 kph and keeps the wind off like duh. Weighs about the same as the Honda item, even!

The inside of the Liberator is cavernous, like two additional panniers. The bumper is off a 70s Mercedes, the panniers are Bates. More bullet lights are already waiting.
From the side, it looks almost sleek ... almost.

Vintage Topolino Dragster!

Now here's something you don't paint every day, esp. on this side of the pond. This car belongs to the vintage dragster collection of a man in Northern Germany, and yes, he races them! It was built in the US, where for some time, it was even licensed and used on public roads! In Germany, it was restored, a lot of new stuff was fabricated and built in, and the fibreglass shell was painted metalflake red. The owner wanted to go with a 60s / Mexican theme, and had me put on the writings and pinstripes.

Cars of 2016!

And here's a small selection of the cars I had the honour to adorn last year.

This '32 Ford from a guy in Hamburg has been accompanying pretty much my entire career. I decorated and redecorated it three times already.

Old Buick Riviera, with the original horizontal coach stripe included.
Buddy's Shoebox Ford

Done at Rust 'n Dust Race, Teterow

Another daring contraption from Race 61 - a chopped Polish "Beetle" truck with an Opel engine.

Pinstripes on a Vette? Dared... and won!
