My Liberated Gold Wing!

After scanning the ads for years, finally THE ONE popped up: Vetter Liberator for sale in Germany! The biggest, widest, craziest fairing ever built. Elvis had one! Bought it - restored it - painted it - slapped it on my beloved Goldie. How it drives? Very good, actually. Stable up to 160 kph and keeps the wind off like duh. Weighs about the same as the Honda item, even!

Wide load! The headlight is a standard US truck item used on Kenworths and others.

Originally the side flashers were rectangular - round ones look better.

The inside of the Liberator is cavernous, like two additional panniers. The bumper is off a 70s Mercedes, the panniers are Bates. More bullet lights are already waiting.

From the side, it looks almost sleek ... almost.

We're golden!

My latest ride, a 1981 Honda Gold Wing 1100. Mods so far: paint (natch), Bates bags, Vespa taillight, shortened seat, GL1000 valve covers. Now for some lights 'n bumpers to get that ass dressed up!

This will become one helluva silly dresser, just to piss off the chopper guys ;-)

RIP Helga

In loving memory of Helga, my 1981 BMW 1000. Some idiot pushed her and me off the road two years ago, and while I had nary a scratch, poor Helga was smashed beyond recognition.

My Bultaco!

Got myself an old Bultaco Frontera as a winter's project. I'm gonna turn it into a city funbike / bar hopper, with street tires and slim handlebars, for tearing thru traffic jams :)
The paintwork of the body parts are almost done, save for the clear and some new emblems; seat's finished, too. More pix soon to come!
